Wallis Fashion Blogger Event

I was lucky enough to get invited to the Wallis Fashion Blogger Event last week. Wallis always seem to have a good selection of sleeved clothes but there were some real showstoppers that I just had to share.

First, the gorgeous and unusual split back jumpers – they look great with jeans or a pencil skirt, and are glamorous with being too revealing. The navy lurex is stunning.

Then the star of the show – the Jerry Hall-esque scarlet sleeved maxi dress from the Wallis Black Rose Collection. While I did try to squeeze myself into the size 10 sample, that wasn’t a photo I would have wanted to share… so here’s the press shot of it:

Sadly, the scarlet version sold out almost instantly, but it if you want to feel like a Hollywood star, it is still available in classic black.

Finally… the dress I fell in love with. This was the first one I tried on and I didn’t want to take it off to try anything else. It’s so unusual to find a simple dress like this that doesn’t look odd over my bust and it made me feel a million dollars. I plan to wear it with black opaque tights and skyscraper heels for nights out. The embellished sleeves and hem mean jewellery is unnecessary, but I will be trying to dress it down with slim black trousers and flats so I can wear it during the day too. I might look a little overdressed, but when you find something this comfortable that looks good, I think you should make the most of it!
